New Cycotix Racing signing continues the Ararat cycling tradition.

There must me something in the water in Ararat, with emerging cycling talent Caiden Hull being signed today by National Road Series Team, Cycotix Racing.

Hull, a 19 year old plumbing apprentice coached by multiple world champion and Olympic medalist Shane Kelly, is looking forward to getting down to racing with his new team in the upcoming Tour of Southwest, which will be held in Warrnambool mid next month. " I'm really keen and motivated for this season. I have a really good feeling about the team and am so glad to get an opportunity"

Team owner , John Kingston, said today that Hull has the potential to play an important role within the team " There is no doubt that we have riders that are skillfull and quick in a bunch finish, but Caiden adds the flexibility of a rider that can get over the hills and still be more than competitive in a sprint finish that some of our bigger boys may not make. He has the right attitude and comes from a fantastic cycling family which was one of the major factors in deciding to sign him for the 2016 season"

Cycling legend Shane Kelly was on hand to present Hull with his new Fuji Transonic 2.5 at Fuji dealer Bike FO in St Kilda " I have known Caiden since he was a baby and he comes from a well known family of cyclists from my home town of Ararat. With some miles in his legs and a bit of maturity, I can certainly see him performing well as a sprinter or one-day specialist. I am really impressed with the Cycotix Racing programme which provides a pathway to the big time and incorporates both the track and the road which I think is important.

Cycotix Racing Team will be competing in the Dedington Dash in Northern Tasmania next week as a warm up to the Tour of Southwest starting on the 14th of May.
